Spinelli Kilcollin is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology. We design to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level and review the experience on an ongoing basis as the site evolves.

Using the accessibility interface

This site includes an accessibility interface, provided by accessiBe, that lets you adjust the site to your needs. Open it from the accessibility icon on every page, or with these shortcuts:

  • Alt+1 turns on screen-reader adjustments. Screen-reader users are also offered this mode automatically on arrival.
  • Alt+2 opens the content-skip menu for keyboard users. Skip links also appear as the first element on every page.
  • While in keyboard navigation mode, press M for menus, H for headings, F for forms, B for buttons and G for graphics to jump between elements.

The interface offers profiles for screen-reader users, keyboard-only navigation, vision impairment, epilepsy (stops animation and flashing), ADHD and cognitive disabilities, along with adjustments for font size, spacing and family, colour contrast and saturation, link and heading highlighting, cursor size, audio muting and animation control.

What we do ourselves

Independent of the interface, the site is built with semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-operable menus, drawers and dialogs, visible focus styles, labelled form fields, descriptive text for images, captions on video where speech is present, respect for reduced-motion preferences, and text contrast at or above the WCAG AA threshold. We test with VoiceOver, NVDA and keyboard-only navigation and support current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.

Known limitations

Some content is provided by third parties, such as the checkout, chat, appointment booking and payment providers. We choose partners who share our commitment to accessibility, and we will help you complete any task you cannot finish through those tools.
